Police ranks in Regional Division #2 are investigating the death of 18-year-old Devendra Khan, who was involved in an accident on Sunday, February 5, 2023, on the Taymouth Manor public road, Essequibo Coast.
Enquiries disclosed that the teenager was riding a motorcycle (CL 9787) south along the eastern side of the Taymouth Manor public road at a fast rate of speed when he allegedly lost control of the motorcycle and ended up between a bridge and a canal on the eastern side of the road.
The injured motorcyclist was picked up by a public-spirited person and transported to the Suddie hospital.
He was examined by Dr Kerman Mookran and pronounced ‘dead on arrival’ (DOA).
The body was taken to the hospital’s mortuary, to await a post-mortem examination. CCTV footage was obtained, and the investigations are ongoing.
