Another escape from Lusignan Prison

Another prisoner escaped from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast Demerara on Tuesday.

Director of Prisons, Gladwin Samuels, said in a statement that the prisoner is 23-year-old James Moore, who was serving a three-year sentence for armed robbery.

Moore was booked out from the Holding Bay at the prison and placed on kitchen duty with several other prisoners. Around 04:30 p.m. he was discovered missing from the kitchen.

Police and Prison officials are seeking the public’s help in locating the prisoner.

Moore’s last known addresses were given as New Road, Dairy and Dennis Street, Turkeyen. Anyone with any information on the escaped prisoner should contact the nearest Police station.
