Dr. Richard Van-West Charles, the Managing Director of Guyana Water Inc. (GWI), received a letter of termination on Monday.
The letter was issued to him by Gavin Cummings, the Chairman of the Board of Directors for GWI. The letter stated that Van-West Charles was to go on administrative leave until October 29.
Dr. Van-West Charles’s contract was originally set to end in September 2021.
The letter of termination also requested that he return any property and records of the government that he has in his possession.
