Corentyne man arrested after pistol, camouflage clothes found in home

A 28-year-old man from Number 79 Village, Corentyne, was taken into police custody, today, after a firearm and several other items were discovered within his home.
Ranks of the Guyana Police Force conducted a search of four homes in the area around 3:30 today The items that were found in the house were a 9mm semi-automatic pistol with one magazine and five live rounds; three camouflage shirts, two camouflage pants, one camouflage mask, one camouflage bag, two grey hoodies, and five smartphones.
The items were lodged with the police and the suspect is currently in custody assisting with the investigation.
