A Corentyne resident was on Saturday killed after he fell off of his motorcycle.
Ganga Persaud Shivdyall, 60, a pump operator of Lot of 7 Fyrish Village, Corentyne, Berbice was riding motorcycle CF 2415 about 17:45 hrs on Saturday on the Industry Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice.
According to information, Shivdyall was riding the motorcycle east along the northern carriageway of the road when he apparently lost control and fell onto the road surface. He reportedly received injuries about his body and was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
The body is at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
