The Ministry of Health recorded 44 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday October 13. 29 cases were from Region One, two from Region Three and 13 from Region Four. Region Four has the highest number of recorded cases at 1,643 followed by Regions One and Nine at 587 and 367 respectively.
The total number of recorded cases in Guyana is now at 3,565.
The death toll remains at 107. There have been 27 recorded COVID-19 deaths so far in the month of October.
As of October 13, 16,215 persons have been tested for the virus. 2,435 persons have recovered leaving the number of active cases in the country at 1,023.
