Yet another COVID-19 victim has succumbed. This death brings to 199, the number of Guyanese to have died from the pandemic.
The latest fatality is a 52-year-old female from Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) who died while receiving care at our medical facility.
Seven people have died within the last seven days.
A statement from t Ministry of Health stated that the MOH expresses sincerest condolences to the family of the deceased and will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during this difficult time to render any assistance needed.
The Ministry is also appealing to the general public to respect the confidentiality of the deceased and her family and to allow them to mourn their tragic loss in peace.
