Police are investigating a report of Break and Enter and Larceny at the Bagotville Post Office which occurred early today at about 03:05 hrs. The suspect was caught at the scene and arrested.
Inquiries disclosed that the Post Office is a wooden structure, with a wooden door facing secured by means of a padlock. Early today, ranks of the Guyana Police Force, acting on information, went to the Post Office where the external wooden wall was discovered broken.
Checks were made in and around the Post Office resulting in the suspect being discovered hiding in a room inside the Post Office.
He was arrested and taken to the La Grange Police Station where he was placed in custody.
Investigations are continuing.
