suspect reportedly test negative remains in quarantine

According to Mayor Winifred Haywood new measures will be implemented at the New Amsterdam Municipal Market. She made those pronouncements while speaking to the press at the NA Town Council Chambers.

One new measure she stated is that only one entrance will be available to persons who want to get into the market instead of the two.

The other entrance will be used for those exiting the market. The other market entrances have been closed for a while now.

According to Mayor Haywood the Council is in making arrangements to purchase the necessary devices that will be used to check the temperature of persons entering the market.

In the meanwhile, according to information the woman who was on Monday removed from the New Amsterdam Market by the Covid 19 Rapid Response Team in Region 6 as a COVID-19 suspect case has tested negative for the virus.

After she was removed, the market was closed and fumigated.

However reports are that, despite the results being negative, the woman will remain in a quarantine facility for fourteen days and tested again.
