Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony while within Region Six yesterday commissioned a newly constructed Dental Clinic at a cost of some $3M. The centre is located at the Cumberland Health Centre.

As part of the government’s commitment to expanding healthcare services across Guyana, the Cumberland Dental Clinic aims to serve residents of Cumberland and its neighboring communities, offering comprehensive dental care.

Minister Anthony noted that close to 220,000 procedures have be done during 2023.

While touching on the main dental school in Georgetown, the Cheddi Jagan Dental School, he stated that it is being transformed to offer a better and comprehensive service.

He stated that the dental school was refurbished. There are now nine cubicles for Dental works. In the upper flat there is a special Pediatric section. There is also a section for surgical care.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by senior health and regional officials.
