Following an intelligence-led operation by a senior officer on Saturday, April 20, 2024, Timothy Charles Dejonge, also known as ‘Leon De Yonge’ of Baracara, Canje Creek, Berbice for whom a wanted bulletin, was issued in 2014, was captured.
Dejonge was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Titus Sutton, which occurred at Baracara, Canje Creek, Berbice, on November 8, 2013.
During the operation, a search was carried out in his home, and one twelve-gauge cartridge was found in a bag that was hanging on the bedroom wall.
As such, Dejonge was escorted to Central Police Station along with the cartridge, which was marked, sealed, and lodged in his presence.
He remains in custody as investigations continue.
