Two men who were found with 9,979 grams of marijuana in their possession last evening around 7:47PM have been arrested by police ranks who were on mobile patrol duty around Amelia’s Ward station district in Linden. They reportedly observed a white car travelling from the Kara Kara area.

The two men were identified as Keenin Fraser, 24, a Taxi driver from Phase 2, Central Amelia’s Ward, and the other occupant, Nacasil Charles, a 21-year-old Porkknocker from Central Amelia’s Ward. They were both told of the offence committed and cautioned.

Another person, Seon Easton, a 33-year-old Construction worker, was arrested for attempting to offer $453,000 to the Police as a bribe to release the two suspects.

Details from the police stated that as the patrol attempted to get closer to the car, it suddenly started moving at a faster rate. The driver of the car then turned into Block 42 and suddenly came to a halt. The driver and another occupant in the front passenger seat quickly exited the vehicle and took out two bulky black plastic bags from the back seat.

As they were about to throw the two parcels into the nearby bushes, the ranks quickly apprehended them and took possession of the two bags.

The bags were opened in their presence, and each contained leaves, seeds, and stems.

The three suspects remain in Police custody, pending charges.
