Yet another abusive relationship has ended in the tragic death of one of the partners. This time a fight between husband and wife has left the husband dead. He was stabbed about his body at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
Dead in Anthony Pakanram, called Max. The suspect has been identified as the man’s 28-year-old wife.
Enquires disclosed that Max and his wife were in a common-law relationship. They shared three children together. Max had a history of violence towards his wife.
On Saturday, the two had a misunderstanding which caused Max to physically assault his wife who moved out of their shared home to her parent’s home at Old Road, Providence.
The next day, about 15:30 hours, Max went to the woman’s location and an argument ensued.
Max became angry and armed himself with a knife. His wife tried to flee but he cornered her and a scuffle ensued.
Max was heard to groan and was seen bleeding from the neck. As they parted, he walked a short distance and collapsed.
He was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre by family members where he died while receiving medical care.
The body is presently at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting post mortem.
