Flooding returns to Georgetown

Mayor of Georgetown, His Worship Pandit Ubraj Narine and his team are visiting various wards of Georgetown to assess damage done by flood waters.
The team is also meeting with affected residents.
Mayor Narine has reported that stores on Regent Street, Guyana’s premier shopping district, have been completely flooded out and millions of dollars of losses have been reported to him.
The areas visited so far are Alberttown, Stabroek and Bourda. The mayor and his team will also visit Albouystown, Prashad Nagar and other affected areas within the city.
