A Family in ‘C’ Field Sophia is now mourning the loss of a 24-year-old woman
and her unborn child after she was stabbed to death by her Ex-Lover. The Dead Woman has been identified as, Loretta Simon.
According to reports, it was just after 14:00 hours Thursday when the incident occurred, in front of the dead woman’s nine-year-old sister.
The dead woman’s mother, Lelita Fields, explained that the killer turned up at her home and asked for a glass of water. She said that Ms. Simon refused and denied him entry into the home.
That started an argument during which he stabbed the woman in the region of the heart.
Fields further explained that her daughter had ended the relationship after she was constantly abused by the suspect and he would normally go around asking for her daughter, who did not want anything to do with him.
On Thursday, however, he found her and it was then she met her demise.
The suspect Terrence (only name given), 34, of East La Penitence, Georgetown, is yet to be arrested as he remains on the run.
