A resident of Plaisance is expected to spend his next 10 months in jail for cuffing a Police Sergeant, causing him to head injuries.
The convict, Seon Prince, appeared before Magistrate Roshell Liverpool when the charge was read to him.
The charge stated that Prince on Tuesday, in Plaisance, assaulted Sergeant Maxwell, while he was performing his duties.
Prince in response to the allegation wasted no time. He pleaded guilty to the court and was slapped with a sentence of 10 months in prison.
Reports are that on Tuesday, Prince was for another crime.
At the time of his apprehension, Prince was at the back of a police van along with Sergeant Maxwell when he threw several punches at the policeman causing him to fall off of the van and striking his head while landing.
Leaving the Sergeant with blood rushing down his face, Prince escaped but was later apprehended.
At the time, it was also noted that Sergeant Maxwell and the team did not follow standard police procedures. They did not have Prince restrained while in custody.
