The Director Of Public Prosecutions Shalimar Ali-Hack has appealed a decision made by magistrate Dillon Bess to dismiss a case brought against former government minister and opposition member of parliament David Patterson pertaining to public exposure.

The incident occurred back in July 2023 when Patterson was accused of urinating in public and using obscene language.

The case was thrown out on the basis that there was not enough evidence to show that Patterson was exposing his genitals.

A video provided by the defendant was also unhelpful as there was no clear image of the person claimed to be Patterson. Audio which was also attached was of no use as the area was filled with traffic noise and music. As such the case was thrown out.
