The first 167 persons who have been squatting at Amelia’s Ward-Phase 4 in Linden, Region Ten today received their certificate of titles.
Minister within the Ministry Of Housing And Water Susan Rodrigues, led the exercise along with Gladwin Charles, Director of Community Development at the Central Housing and Planning Authority along with regional Officials including Deron Adams, the Regional Chairman, and Member Of Parliament Jermaine Figueira.
The regularisation and processing of ownership documents is a delivery on a promise made by Rodrigues during a visit to the area in early 2021.
With ownership documents, these individuals and their families will be able to have legal access to utilities such as electricity and water, and to approach financial institutions for loans and mortgages.
